1-1/2-12 Hand Tap Set, 3 Piece Carbon Steel

This 1-1/2-12 carbon steel hand tap set features one each of a taper tap, plug tap and bottoming tap of the same size. These taps are used to re-thread damaged and/or jammed threads. Carbon Steel hand taps may also be used to newly thread mild steels.

Mutual Screw Hand Tap FYI:

• Taper Taps - Start the thread square with the workpiece.
• Plug Taps - Generally used in thru holes.
• Bottoming Taps - Generate the thread to the bottom of the hole.
